ZION NATIONAL PARK

On Saturday we went to Zion NP with Jody, Brad, Jackson, Whitney and her family. Whitney was a trooper being about 6 months pregnant. It was beautiful and the weather was perfect. We hiked for about 1 1/2 hours (with kids that's a long time) then we had lunch and ice cream at the Zion Lodge. The kids were able to run around outside and burn even more energy. Brynlee fell asleep right away on the way home. She had had a long day...and so had we.

SWIMMING

We had our first swim of the season on Saturday. We went to Aunt Jody's hotel after our long day in Zion NP. Brynlee loved relaxing in her tube and swimming with Jody. Kevin, Brian, Brad and Jackson thoroughly enjoyed themselves while they played football in the water. Boys will be boys. Since it was getting chilly in the shade, I enjoyed a very hot tub.

She's kicking not screaming!!

HAPPY EASTER

Our Easter was pretty simple. On Sunday we dyed Easter eggs with Kevin and Carter. Brynlee loved watching the eggs come out colored. She put all her eggs in the pink dye...she's such a girl. We also had an Easter egg hunt at my grandma's house with Whitney and her family. Brynlee and Austin weren't quite sure what to do and why we wanted them to put plastic eggs in their bags. They got excited when they found out there was candy in them.

PLAYTIME

Brynlee is playing dress up in her princess dresses. Her favorite things to put on are her high heels but they're way too big so she gets frustrated when she can't walk in them. She's not very fun to play with because she keeps the dresses on for about 2 seconds and she won't let me get any good pictures.

Her favorite thing to do right now is the dishes. She would stand at the sink for hours rinsing dishes and putting them in the dishwasher if I let her. I'm hoping she still enjoys this when she is actually old enough to do it right. We got her her own 'plastic' dishes and a tub to put water in so she can play outside with them. She makes dinner for us...water in a bowl, water on a plate, and water in a cup...YUMMY!!

FIRST HAIRCUT

Brynlee finally had her first haircut. I've been procrastinating because I didn't want her cute little curls to go away. Good news...they're still here. She was so cute while she was getting it done. She took it very seriously and wouldn't crack a smile. I'm glad Bryn let her do it without throwing some embarrassing fit. Afterward, she got a 'My Little Pony' sticker. Mission accomplished.
