Brookie is a very pleasant and healthy baby. She weighed 16 pounds at her 4 month appointment. For her first Halloween she was a round, little pumpkin...so cute. Unfortunately, she slept through a lot of our Halloween festivities. We love having her in our family, she's a funny little girl.

BRYNLEE'S BAD LUCK
Three weeks ago Brynlee shut her finger in the car door after school. Luckily, I was standing right next to her and could open it right away. There was obviously a lot of crying and her finger swelled up immediately. After 9 days of it being wrapped in a bandage it was still very swollen. I took her to the doctor to get an xray and as you can see by the picture it is VERY broken. The next morning I had to take her to the hospital to get a pin in it. She will have it for almost 4 weeks. Poor girl!!! I was nervous for her because she had to have anesthesia but she was so brave. I was very proud of her. Her injury hasn't hindered her a bit, she's as active as ever.

For Halloween Brynlee wanted to be a witch. As long as she didn't want to be a princess I was okay with it. I hope she outgrows the princess stage soon...I'm so sick of it. For FHE we gutted and carved pumpkins. Bryn loved taking out the slimy insides. At school they did a costume parade with the whole kindergarten. On Halloween we went trunk or treating at the Iceberg parking lot where they a bunch of people take their old classic cars. They were extremely festive.

BLESSING, BIRTHDAYS, KINDERGARTEN OH MY!!
We've been busy the last month. We blessed Brooke on August 7, which is also Kevin's birthday. It was such a sweet day and we were so grateful for all of our family who came to be with us. Brynlee turned 5 a couple weeks later. She's a big kindergartener now. Bryn loves school and her teacher. Her mommy loves it too :).

CUTIE PATOOTIES!!
I don't know how it happened but Brooke has found her way into Brynlee's heart. Brynlee loves to hold her and feed her. She's like Brooke's second mommy.
Brooke's awesome traits:
She only wakes up once or twice a night (unlike Brynlee...5x night)
She has never spit up (unlike Brynlee), however, when she burped this morning it came out her nose :)
She only cries when she needs something (unlike Brynlee)
She can hold a binky in her mouth (unlike Brynlee)
She's adorable (like Brynlee)

I THINK IT'S TIME FOR AN UPDATE
First - things first... I'm finally pregnant with another girl. I'm due July 9. This has been a long time coming and we're very grateful that it happened.
We just got back from visiting the Anderson family. Grandma and Grandpa Anderson just got back from their mission in Mongolia. It was fun to see them and the rest of the family. While we were staying with Aunt Tracy and Uncle Ryan, Brynlee became friends with Chloe, the deer. She is amazingly friendly.
Updated family picture. I think it's our first or second one since Brynlee was born.
