FUN AT GRANDMA'S
Brynlee and I wanted to see Daddy so we went to stay with Grandma and Grandpa Anderson for a couple weeks before Christmas. We got storm after storm and Brynlee loved playing in the snow. Being in St. George we didn't have any boots or pants for her so I had go out in the Christmas rush and get some. It was nice spending time with the family during the holidays. We missed Daddy and were grateful to see him as much as we did.

SANTA CLAUS
Last Saturday we went to the Tuacahn Theater to see Santa and watch the live Nativity. It's a tradition we started a few years ago. I didn't think Brynlee would be brave enough to sit on Santa's lap. All I had to do was tell her he had candy and she went right on up. She wouldn't look at him at all, she just stared at the candy canes. After the Nativity we took a short little train ride around the theater grounds. The kids loved it.
THANKSGIVING
It's been a little while since I did an update so I'm a little behind. We had a great Thanksgiving. It was fun to be able to see Kevin for more than a short weekend. My whole side of the family went to my grandma's house for dinner. The Sunday before Thanksgiving my grandma fell and broke her foot. We were all scared about not having a grandma dinner. Whitney bravely stepped up and cooked almost the entire Thanksgiving feast while Grandma told her exactly what to do. Congratulations Whit, it was soooo good. Unfortunately, this is the only picture I was able to get. My camera decided to stop working after the first one.

THE DREADED DENTIST
I took Brynlee to Austin's dentist appointment to show her it's fun and painless. Austin was perfect; he let the hygienist take x-rays, clean his teeth and floss. The dentist was kind enough to offer to look at Brynlee's teeth but she wouldn't even get on the chair. She had to sit on my lap so he could get a peek inside. He said she's a little slow getting a few of her teeth and I need to think about getting her off her binky. I've tried a couple times to take the binky away but it made my days miserable so I keep giving in. Maybe by the time she's in Kindergarten she won't need it anymore. Other than that, everything is good.JUMPIN' JACKS
Today Whit and I took the kids to Jumpin Jacks hoping to make them tired. We definitely accomplished that goal. They had so much fun but I think Whitney had more fun. Pictures would prove it but I didn't want to get in trouble by posting them. We had never been here before but I think we'll make it a regular activity.
This is what they look like when they're having fun.

KICK-O-KEEK
Trick-or-treating with Brynlee and Austin was one of the funniest things I've ever seen. I wish I had my video camera with me so everyone could see it. Brynlee was a 50's girl and Austin was a spider. At first Brynlee didn't know what was going on but when she realized that she was getting candy there was no stopping her. She said "kick-o-keek" everytime and would run back yelling that she got more candy. At one house a lady gave her a piece of candy and a pencil. She was absolutely disgusted that someone would give her something that wasn't candy. She tried to give it back to the lady but when she saw Austin put it in his basket she decided to keep it. When we got back to our house she didn't want to go because she wanted more candy. It was all better when we let her eat some. I hope next year is just as fun.

THE MOVE

So, we finally moved to St. George. The last couple weeks have been busy and exhausting. I hate getting things packed and organized especially when I have a little one who just undoes everything. We headed down on Halloween morning in a big Uhaul pulling our Saturn. After I finally found the keys that unlock the back of the truck and a stranger helped me back the truck out of a tight space at the storage unit things went smoothly. It was a long day and I was very glad when it was over.

SNOWBIRD
This morning we took a scenic drive up Little Cottonwood Canyon to Snowbird Resort. We rode the tram to the top of the mountain. When we got to the top it felt like we were in a completely different place. The temperature was 20 degrees cooler and it was extremely windy. The view from the top was gorgeous. It's amazing it only takes a few minutes to get there from the congested city. After we got back to the resort we went window shopping and had lunch at a little cafe. It was really fun and it was a good way to spend our last weekend here before we head off to St. George next week.

SCARECROWS
Last weekend we went to the Scarecrow Festival with my sister and her family at Thanksgiving Point. We weren't able to get very many pictures because the batteries in my camera died after the second picture (go figure). Brynlee had a ton of fun sliding down the huge inflatable slides and jumping in the bouncy rooms. I don't think she ever runs out of energy. She wasn't too fond of the non-scary haunted house. I took her in a little ways and she made me turn around and go back outside. I was surprised because she doesn't get scared very easily. It turned out to be a fun time and I'm sad we won't be here next year for it.

ARTISTS AT WORK
While we were at Grandma's house we painted pumpkins. It started out fairly clean but Aunt Whitney decided to show the kids how to put it on their hands and face. Brynlee and Austin had fun painting each other. Needless to say, they had a very colorful bath. It's definitely something we'll do again.

She dipped her brush in her juice.

We told her to pose and she did this funky dance.

ELK RANCH
We went to an elk ranch with my family near Zions. Brynlee loved it. She fed the baby elk from her hand (she isn't scared of anything). We also saw some lazy buffalo. It was fun watching Brynlee, Austin, and my dad watch the animals. My dad probably spent 30 minutes watching a sick elk that didn't move.
