NEIGHBORHOOD CAMPOUT!!

Last weekend we decided to have a little campout by our basketball court in our neighborhood with a couple of families in our ward. We rolled our bbq over and roasted marshmallows and made smores. Unfortunately, it was extremely windy and it rained on and off. Brynlee wasn't a fan of the tent blowing in her face while she was trying to sleep. We ended up going back home at 11:30 so we could have a good night sleep. I think next time we should actually go somewhere cool. Here are some pictures of our extreme adventure.

DANCE DANCE DANCE

Last week Brynlee had her first dance recital. Lets just say she takes after her mommy. After her first dance she didn't want to go back up for her second because she doesn't like people looking at her or clapping for her. It was still adorable but I'm sure it will be a while before she does it again.

THE BIG 5

The beginning of March, Kevin and I celebrated our 5th anniversary. We treated ourselves to a couple nights at Lake Las Vegas...by ourselves. When we got there we discovered that there wasn't much to do. The Hoover Dam was only about 20 minutes away and Lake Mead was practically next door. Since neither of us had ever been there we decided to check it out. On the way we came across a  helicopter ride that we couldn't pass up. It took us over part of Lake Mead. I felt like I was on 'The Bachelor' :). We finally made it to Hoover Dam and now I can check that off my list.                         This is a bridge being built by Hoover Dam. It's crazy to see the men working so high.

Our hotelThis is Kevin killing me at Risk. Of course I didn't get a picture of me killing him the game before.

ANGEL CHILD

SOME REASONS I'M ALMOST INSANE:
These are only some but they all happened within a 24 hour period.

Brynlee...
-cut a hole in ANOTHER pair of pants.
-tore pages out of my scriptures, crinkled even more pages, then threw them in the trash can.
-snapped Kevin's phone in half (fortunately, it's not the one he uses).
-peed on the rug.
-stuffed wet wipes down the vent in her bedroom.
-wrote on her white shirt with black pen.
-counted to 3 then sent me to my room.
-poured cups and cups of water all over my sister's kitchen floor.
-threw an unconsolable fit after leaving her cousin's house.

REASONS WHY I'M NOT INSANE YET:
Brynlee's...
-spirited personality.
-willingness to help me clean, cook and do laundry.
-love of dance...she's very exotic.
-cuteness, she's the cutest girl I've ever seen.
-cute little prayers.
-hugs and kisses and more kisses.

Parenthood is definitely difficult but we love Brynlee very much. Life would be very boring if she wasn't around causing havoc.

GOLD IN VANCOUVER

I just got done watching Evan Lysacek win the gold medal in men's figure skating. It was a tight competition and the USA brought home the gold after two perfect programs. I love the Winter Olympics. Go Evan!!!
